PACKAGING

We have ensured that our long-term use packaging is refillable/reusable, and our short-term use packaging is easily recyclable.

Our eyeshadow components are ABS and mono-material, which means they are made with one single type material, making them easier to recycle. ABS is a thermoplastic, which means it can be recycled, reprocessed, and reused.

However, we have also ensured that they are refillable, to facilitate refill options which we hope to offer soon. You won’t find mirrors in our packaging, as they cannot be recycled.

Our outer packaging is fully recyclable. Both our boxes and mailers are 100% recyclable, FSC certified and sourced from Irish companies. You can simply dispose of them in your green bin. Our cards are responsibly printed on 100% recycled paper with eco-inks, using self generated green energy, by an Irish company called the Factory.

Sustainability is a journey, and we are constantly searching for new ways to be more environmentally friendly, by using recycled and recyclable materials and reducing waste. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us by using our contact form.

BIODEGRADABLE GLITTER

What is Biodegradable Glitter?

Biodegradable glitter is a plastic-free, sustainable glitter. It is made from plant derived, renewable materials, completely plastic-free, biodegradable, and vegan. Traditional glitters are classed as microplastics, which are causing significant damage to the planet by disrupting ecosystems and harming marine life.

Plastic can take hundreds or thousands of years to degrade, and over that time microplastics will likely be ingested by many organisms. For example, when microplastics are washed down the drain and into the ocean, they are consumed by fish and birds and are very damaging to marine life. Due to their size, they enter the food chain at the bottom and become embedded in animal tissue.  Microplastics have even been found in the human bloodstream.

Biodegradable glitter is the eco-friendly solution to traditional plastic glitter, so you can keep on sparkling! To read more about Biodegradable Glitter, click here.
